COPE – Cost of Poverty Experience

One in eight people in the Des Moines area struggles to make ends meet. But understanding poverty takes more than knowing the numbers. Love INC Des Moines is hosting the Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE) — a powerful, hands-on simulation that puts you in the day-to-day reality of a family living in poverty.

In just two hours, you’ll navigate the real decisions, tradeoffs, and barriers that thousands of your neighbors face every single day. It will challenge you. It may surprise you. And it will change the way you see and serve your community.
